Pear Manhattan
Pears aren’t the first thing that comes to mind when talking about winter cocktails. But, you may be surprised to find out, the pear – and its boozy outputs – are a great addition to some of your favorite classics. Add in a spiced pear liqueur to your whiskey smash for something sweet and winter-ready, throw a splash of pear juice in your champagne cocktails, or try this recipe for a pear manhattan, using a sweet pear brandy.
Pear Manhattan
Ingredients
2 oz pear brandy (We used Pear Williams Purkhart Eau-de-Vie)
1 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes of angostura bitters
Red pear, to garnish
Instructions
Stir all ingredients together with ice, then strain into a rocks glass. Add one big cube of ice, and garnish with fresh red pear. Enjoy!
