The Five O' Clock: Negroni Sbagliato and Caipirinha

Freelance writer and bartender Drew Cranisky shows us, you can still enjoy a decent happy hour drink from home even if you can’t make it out.

Try one (or both!) of these two classic cocktails to elevate your evening drink at home, or for an outdoor cookout this weekend.



Negroni Sbagliato

1 oz. sweet vermouth (opt for something decent)

1 oz. Campari

3 oz. dry sparkling wine

Instructions

Combine vermouth and Campari in a champagne flute.

Top with sparkling wine.

Garnish with an orange twist.

Caipirinha

1/2 a lime

2 bar spoons sugar

2 oz. cachaça

Instructions

Cut lime into small segments and place in rocks glass.

Add sugar, then muddle well.

Add cachaça and fill glass with ice.

Stir thoroughly and serve.
