Pressley Ridge provides individuals and families with hope and support through life’s challenges. We pride ourselves on partnering with families and meeting them where they are, when they need it the most.

Founded in 1832 on the North Side, Pressley Ridge remains headquartered in Pittsburgh. Through a legacy of successful outcomes, programs have expanded to serve communities in Central Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. Each year more than 10,000 children and families are strengthened primarily through services provided in their homes and community and, if needed, in an out-of-home setting. More than 70 innovative programs - including foster care and adoption, mental health services and specialized education - share a common goal of establishing stable, healthy families and life-long connections that result in a successful, happy life.

Pressley Ridge relies on the generosity of donors who believe in our mission. Now, more than ever as an essential services provider, we need support to continue providing vital services to our children and families. Since the pandemic began, Pressley Ridge has been doing everything possible to address the needs of our community – adapting service delivery methods in order to continue lifesaving mental and behavioral health services and never compromising on our mission. In this time of uncertainty, we are seeking community support to assure our families that they can continue to count on Pressley Ridge. Donations received during this critical period will guarantee that we can adjust the way services are provided when needed and purchase the technology and equipment required to avoid disruption in services and keep staff and clients safe and healthy. The vast majority of our kids and families come from underserved communities. They don’t have iPads or laptops for telehealth or remote learning and some don’t even have internet service. Many are struggling to feed their families and pay their utility bills. True to our mission, Pressley Ridge will continue to do whatever it takes for our families to succeed.
