Pittsburgh Glass Center

Pittsburgh Glass Center (PGC) is a nonprofit, public-access education center; an art gallery; a state-of-the-art glass studio; a community builder; and a hub for innovation and creativity. Anyone can take classes, explore the contemporary glass gallery, and watch the live hot glass demonstrations. World-renowned glass artists come here to create and teach.

Although we normally fund approximately 50% of our operations through earned revenue, due to cancellations and closures caused by the COVID-19 health crisis, opportunities for us to earn any revenue at this time are extremely limited. That means donations from people like you are imperative so that when we are able to re-open fully again we can continue serving the community through exhibitions, classes and workshops, and state-of-the-art studios and equipment.

Here are a few of the reasons people support us:

Free Every Day—We open our doors to the community for free seven days a week to experience contemporary glass art.

Uniqueness—PGC is the only public access organization dedicated to glass art in the region.

Fun & Memorable—PGC strives to offer a one-of-a-kind memorable experience for everyone who walks in our doors.

Excellent & Accessible Instruction—PGC provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to try glass making and has a talented group of skilled instructors who make the process enjoyable and fun.
