House Party

Staying close to home these days can seem a tad monotonous. Perhaps it’s time to throw a party right where you live, just for the people you live with.

On this particular evening, the folks at PerLora started with a stylish Italian table that was plentifully bestrewn with hearty greens, nestling brown pears, and pops of grapes. Romantic bottles, in green and amber tones, gripped idyllic branches. Cheery green chairs were pulled around for members of the family.

Next up: a take out order placed at a restaurant just six hundred feet away. The delicious minds of the chefs at Stagioni concocted a grazing feast to festoon the handsome table: tuna conserva with bread and butter pickled zucchini, Ciccioli violet mustard and hot pepper relish over crostini, smoked bluefish and espelette aioli in radicchio boats, Prosciutto and caciocavallo cheese, charred scallions with romesco, grilled eggplant with balsamic and basil, and roasted Carmen peppers.

At dusk, it was time for PerLora’s work-family to snack on sumptuous bites between big swallows of red wine. The sun set, and the room blushed in toasty candlelight. And a wonderful feeling of fun infused the small group.

Reach out directly to your favorite local restaurants for take out orders. They appreciate the business, and calling them directly means that your order supports their bottom line. Visit PerLora in person for wonderful homestyle shopping and advice. If you’re hungry afterwards, Stagioni is just down the street!
