Situated on the 10th floor of The Oaklander Hotel, Pittsburgh’s newest French-influenced restaurant, Spirits & Tales, is hosting a special Bastille Day brunch on July 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The brunch is a la carte and will feature French specialties, festive novelties, and plenty of Champagne throughout the day. The S&T dining room will transform into a scene straight from Banks of the Sienne with Parisian decor and live entertainment by musician Paul Labrise.

We’re excited to learn how to saber Champagne bottles with sommeliers on the restaurant’s 10th story terrace. Plus, there will be a house-curated Champagne flight and the best in French fromage and charcuterie from the cheese cart. Executive Chef Jessica Lewis will offer signature twists on authentic dishes that will transport us all to the streetside cafes of Paris.

In addition to Spirits & Tales regular brunch menu, Bastille Day specials will be featured such as a selection of Sweet & Savory Crepes, Moules FritesHeirloom Tomato & Goat Rodeo Chevre Croissant, and popular French street foods like The French Hot Dog with Lamb Merguez sausage served with Dijon yogurt.

Guests will be greeted with a selection of fresh pastries, including several varieties of croissants, and will receive Chocolat au Noir (chocolate-covered dates) as they leave as a token of the inaugural Bastille Day Brunch at Spirits & Tales.

A portion of the proceeds from the day’s specialty French 75 cocktail will benefit Allies for Health & Wellbeing. The specialty cocktail will be available all week leading up to Sunday’s Bastille Day Brunch.

Reservations can be made on Open Table or by calling Spirits & Tales at 412.297.4080, referencing “Bastille Day Brunch”.
